Great value Malaysian cuisine in Perth
If you’re looking for a good value, tasty dinner, quick service and a cheap night out in the Western Suburbs, try Nasi Lemak Korner in Mosman Park.
Last Monday, I went out with my sister as it was her last night in Perth before she flew back to Europe. On a work night and with limited time (we both were working until late) we didn’t want a deluxe meal and we didn’t want a late evening. As I had heard positive reviews from friends about Nasi Lemak Korner.
It was a cool night and we had the window seat sitting high up on stools. Being a Monday, it was quiet with a few customers finishing their meals. We started the evening with the tasty spring rolls and satay chicken which was served really quickly.
For mains we shared a beef rendang plus additional coconut rice as well as tom yum fried bihun; so much flavour with a range of spices. Our waitress was really attentive and kept us topped up with plenty of water as we’re not used to so much spice!
I took a BrewDog Punk IPA which was just $4 per person for BYO. Great value. If I was to go back on a Friday or Saturday night, I would take a few more beers or a bottle of wine to share with friends.
For dessert, we treated ourselves to cucur pisang which is a bit like banana bread that was made into rolls with tasty chocolate ganache and chocolate ice cream. The choice was either vanilla or chocolate but for me it has to chocolate!
In just under 2 hours we were back home, full, content and ready to go to bed. And for just $60, perfect!
